Mythic Coast

Cleveleys is a close place to my heart, the place with my dad spent the latter part of his childhood and the place I have always known as my grandparent's home. It was only on doing this project, however that I discovered the mythic coast.

Bringing the story of the sea swallow (Gareth Thompson) to the seafront, artist Stephen Broadbent has designed and curated the mythic coast art trail to tell the story of Mary, a young girl who looses her father to the sea and consequently must go on a journey into the deep.

Parts of the story appear on some of the sculptures, giving an air of mystery to the story further enhanced by seamless blending of sculpture and land.
